this post is about two things. elf, and csi: miami. first will be csi.
i have been a fan of the csi programs pretty much since they came out, but miami is my favorite, and it isn't because they have a better story line, or cooler technology, it's because of horatio caine. he's the head honcho and as compared to the other leading characters in the other csi shows, horatio is the most fascinating. he is completely bull headed, confident and strong, but, and this is the sappy part, the way he interacts with the victims is phenomanally exceptional. the people on the other shows just don't do that. last night there was a man that was put into the hospital and his mother was sitting with him for three days, and horatio insisted that she go get something to eat because he would stay with the guy. he sat down next to him, held his hand and the unconcious man squeezed his hand. i don't know if it is just me, but csi: miami and horatio just connect with me on an emotional level that the other csi's don't.
and now...elf!!!!! i have been waiting so long for this movie to come out and now the day is finally here. elf has got to be one of the funniest movies of all time. and to be honest, i don't even really know why. there aren't as many one liners, as in a movie like tommy boy, but for some reason i find it so hilarious, and will farrel plays the part of buddy so perfectly that you are completely convinced that he is an adult that grew up in the north pole with santa and still acts innocent and childlike. anyway...go buy it today!
